The Annie Moses Band will be filming a Public Television special for their upcoming album, Pilgrims and Prodigals, at Lipscomb University, Collins Auditorium, on July 9th in Nashville, TN at eight p.m.. It will be a spectacular event with the Band performing new songs and old favorites. Be sure to invite your friends and family — we need a packed house! Come early and join the filming with a front row seat! We’d love to see your face on film

Oh, and by the way, bring a scarf and sweater (or something else Christmas-y — we’ll explain when you get there…)

Here’s some feedback from a recent concert in Ruston, LA:

How absolutely delightful was the concert you performed at Christ Community Church!! Hearing you in person has greatly enhanced the music for me. I felt that I was able to meet and know you better than just hearing your music from a CD. As I write I am listening to the music and have been for much of the weekend since the concert. You have encouraged me, at 52, to strive for excellence. This is one of several things that God is using in me to stir me via His Spirit. I am most grateful to Him thank He chose to use such wonderful music from lovely people.

May the Lord Jesus under gird and use you to help even more.

David, Ruston, LA

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I attended your concert at Christ Community Church in Ruston, LA last Friday, and wanted, first, to say what an incredible blessing your music is. I was moved from tears to laughter, and left praising God.
Second, after hearing your song based on the tragedy occurring in Sudan, and felt inclined to refer you to, and make a pitch for /Share International, Inc.,/ an ministry to the Turkana people of northwest Kenya. (I believe the founder of the ministry, Dr. Sammy Murimi may have spoken to you about it.). The Turkana people are an impoverished, desert tribe located just south east of the Sudan border, where S.I. has been planting churches for over 10 years and has been used mightily by God in reaching these wonderful people. You may check out their website at http://www.shareinternationalinc.com/.
I had the privilege of going on the 2004 S.T.O.R.M.project and can say from first hand experience that the ministry is doing an amazing job there. It is extremely well managed, and it’s money and resources are very carefully administered. Unlike many ministries, there is a low administrative overhead, with the monies actually reaching those in need. You can also ask Dee Alexander; He went with them in, I believe 2002. If you want to go on a summer mission trip to Africa, definitely check out there Short Term Out Reach Mission (S.T.O.R.M.). It WILL change your life and I suspect, your music and worship!
Respectfully,
Dean
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Blessings,

In the Wolaver household, the first order of Christmas business is to turn up the music. At the top of the heap, our undisputed favorite is Nat King Cole.

Nat’s velvety voice coupled with the lush string arrangements—the way the ensemble, in close harmony and with spinning vibrato, swoops and turns and lands like only retro strings can do—soothes our string-playing souls. The string arrangements of today tend more toward minimalism, the strident edge of a cynical society. Not Nat’s. His are from the bygone era of unabashed musical sweetness.

In the same tradition we bring to you Christmas Bright and Beautiful, the first instrumental offering of the Annie Moses Band. There is no singing — just strings, harp, and piano. But you already know the words to these beautiful melodies, these carols of old never wear out.

And, once again, Bill Wolaver has created a series of stunning arrangements that resonate with peace and good will.

Want to listen? Check out the media player to the right. We know you’ll find Christmas Bright and Beautiful to be exactly what it says it is.

These days the Annie Moses Band keeps pretty busy. After all, a hundred or so concerts a year doesn’t leave much time for dilly-dally.

But thankfully, a new character has emerged in the continuing saga of the AMB, to help deal with that dilemma.

Dean Diehl, former marketing genius at Provident Records, now head of Provident Management, has joined forces with the Band in the role of manager.

“We are very excited about Dean coming on board,” says Annie. “Juggling touring and managing ourselves can be a daunting task and this new partnership with Provident greatly expands our horizons.”

“We could see immediately that Dean had some exceptional qualities,” says Alex, “like his affinity for horses, muffins, Charles Dickens, and audio books. We were glad to see he has his priorities in order, and that they are in line with ours.”

These are the days to be watching the Annie Moses Band. Good smells are in the air, and we can’t wait for the pie to be delivered to your door. So stay tuned for surprises.
