Day 8: 2011 Christmas Tour
This morning began with a 4 AM wakeup call, a 5 hour drive, and an arrival to lunch at Raleigh First Assembly. The sun was shining for the first time in a few days, so we very much enjoyed the light!
After a bit of necessity shopping and then resting at the hotel, we returned to the church for soundcheck, rehearsal, a delicious supper, and then the long awaited-for concert. The stage was decorated with real trees, silvery white, reminding us of the stark beauty of midwinter.
We played for a packed house, full of friends from all the many FASAs that we have held in Raleigh, NC. It was such a blessing to see all of you! We are surrounded by such sweet and loving people. We love you all!
Tomorrow we play in Franklin, NC at the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts. Hope to see ya’ll out there!
We heard AMB for the first time on a Christian TV station out of Greensboro, NC this past Sunday night (12/4). We loved the music and while watching, ‘googled’ AMB and discovered the concert in Raleigh on 12/8. My wife and I invited two friends to go with us (hour drive), and we were blessed with 2 hours of phenomenal music and testimony. We will be watching for future concerts by AMB in the region. Thank you and ‘Merry’ Christmas.
Wish you were coming to Colorado on your Christmas tour. Guess I’ll just have to make do watching the “Christmas with the AMB” DVD again (not a bad alternative actually….).
