The Annie Moses Band will be filming a Public Television special for their upcoming album, Pilgrims and Prodigals, at Lipscomb University, Collins Auditorium, on July 9th in Nashville, TN at eight p.m.. It will be a spectacular event with the Band performing new songs and old favorites. Be sure to invite your friends and family — we need a packed house! Come early and join the filming with a front row seat! We’d love to see your face on film

Oh, and by the way, bring a scarf and sweater (or something else Christmas-y — we’ll explain when you get there…)

Michael O’Brien to Perform at the 2009 Fine Arts Summer Academy Gala

The Annie Moses Band is proud to announce Michael O’Brien as a guest performer at the 2009 Praise Glorious Fine Arts Summer Academy’s Gala Performance at Lipscomb University. An outstanding solo artist as well as a former lead singer for the award-winning group, NewSong, Michael has been featured on numerous hit singles including the chart-topping duet with Natalie Grant, “When God Made You”. Recently, he has diversified with a jazz record, Something About Us. A prolific songwriter and producer, Michael will be bringing his skill to the Fine Arts Summer Academy stage in a spectacular final performance with the students before a televised audience. Stay tuned for more details as we draw closer to the kickoff of FASA 2009.

What’s Going On…

Hello everyone. Here’s what’s going on with the AMB!

On October the 7th the Annie Moses Band’s newest Christmas album, This Glorious Christmas will be available in retail stores all across the US. This Glorious Christmas is the first album to be released from the AMB’s new partnership with Reunion Records, a division of Sony. The project features a bonus 30 minute version of the AMB’s new Christmas DVD.

For those of you who are waiting with bated breathe for a new AMB DVD, your wait is almost over. Beginning the middle of October the newest DVD from the Annie Moses Band, This Glorious Christmas Live, will be available at www.anniemosesband.com.

Currently the band is in the studio working on a new spring release, Make His Praise Glorious. Along with albums and DVDs, plans for FASA 2009 are in the works, along with Robin’s new book Moonshine and Manhattan, which reveals the story of the Annie Moses Band…so far……

Former Dean of Juilliard School to hold Master Classes at FASAs

We are proud to announce that Stephen Clapp, former Dean and current professor of violin at the Juilliard School of Music in New York, will be joining us for Master Classes at both of this year’s Fine Arts Summer Academies.

Violinists and string quartets interested in participation in these Master Classes must be enrolled in one of the Academies, and submit an audition tape of the piece they wish to perform. May 15th is the deadline for receipt of audition recordings.

Fine Arts Summer Academy Registration Online

We are pleased to announce that the Fine Arts Summer Academies in Raleigh, NC & Memphis, TN are now open for registration online. The first 50 registrants will receive a free Annie Moses Band CD of their choice (you can pick it up when the Academy begins).

And this year, for the first time, there’s an Academy track for everyone, from children 4 years old (the Mini-MusicFest) all the way up to college sophomores (the Upper Division).

So hurry over and sign up! It’ll be a event you’ll never forget.

The cover art is stunning, some of the best I’ve ever seen in any genre of music. The amazing thing is that, this time, you CAN “judge a book by it’s cover”. This is an amazing, fresh, uplifting, inspiring and challenging CD. From the incredible music that grabs your heart and takes you on an adventure to the deep and powerful words that worship our LORD and call you to grow, to question and to find strength in our GREAT & LIVING GOD.

It was so good that I had to buy it for everyone I know. It’s so hard these days to find Christian artists who truely sing and walk with the Lord and whose music reflects a separation from the world and leads you to the Throne of Grace. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Wolaver family and the whole AMB! The Christmas Bright and Beautiful tour wrapped up December 23. With over 6000 miles in 3 weeks, it was our finest and longest tour to date complete with packed out venues and rowdy crowds. Many thanks to all who came to a concert this tour! (If you attended a concert, please leave your comments on the post to the left of the screen under “Schedule”)

Christmas Bright and Beautiful added a spark to our show, and we enjoyed every chance to perform Dad’s incredible arrangements, so full of sacred celebration.The Annie Moses Band is truly burgeoning as we head into 2008. First on our plate is preparations for our two – that’s right – TWO Fine Arts Summer Academies. The first in Raleigh, NC June 22 – 28, and the second in Bartlett, TN, July 13 – 19. Keep an eye glued on our website for details and registration, which will be heading your way very soon. For those who are not familiar with our Arts Academies for youth, click here to read about the music and the make up of these two opportunities.

Building upon the base of our Fine Arts Summer Academies, we are planning, writing, and creating a string curriculum for young violinists. It is to be offered in a complete package in DVD, CD, and book formats. Our goal is to create a curriculum that aids parents, teachers, students, schools, and churches in their desire to build strong artistic skills in their children in order to glorify God. What a challenge!

In addition to the academies, we are preparing for our first major national album release. Thanks to our new agreements with The Roster Management and Provident Sony/BMG Records there will be forthcoming releases due in stores in fall of 2008. We would appreciate your prayers as we jump head long into this uncharted territory.

More than ever, we feel God’s immense call on our lives. At times the opposition is great, and in that way we covet your prayers, but Jesus is faithful to fulfill His purposes. Hard work is ahead, but with it comes the deepest joy and the sweetest fruit.
